Tonight was Wednesday night, aka Ck's poker night. 7 of us met up at Ck's and threw down ten bucks for the first game.
I felt I did as good as I could have done with the hands I was dealt. In the end, it was Blob, JK, and me. Blob and I were in a hand and I was running out of chips, so I went all in on a bluff... but he had trips and eliminated me in 3rd place. Josh ended up beating Blob.
The second game I doubled up off pocket queens pretty quick. Then I eliminated Jason with a straight. Then I hit trips with an Ace 7 and took Jare Bear out. I had about 3 times as many chips as anyone else, so I played a lot more hands than I normally would.
The game turned when the big blind was on me and I had 10 of clubs 5 of clubs. The flop came out all low cards with one club. 4 players in the hand, everyone checked. The turn came out another club. I was acting first, so I threw out a 600 chip bet. A semi bluff considering if I hit a 10, I would have top pair... and if I hit a club then I had a 10 high flush. Two folds, and then CK re-raised me. I was in for 900 chips now, and didnt have much of a choice. At that point I realized I had a 20% chance to hit my hand. I had a commanding chip lead and it was worth the risk to me. The river came and I hit the flush. CK went all in, and I called and he was eliminated with trips.
Now it was me and Josh heads up and I had probably 3 times as many chips. I was being dealt fire all night, and everything was hitting. Eventually Josh folded to enough of my raises that his only chance was an all in. He went and I called. I had Jack 9 and hit my jack on the flop. That was game. Not counting me, there was 6 people in the game... and I eliminated 4 of them.
Total winnings at cks- $240.
